Once a common experience for most Americans, humane home slaughter has become a thing of the past. But understanding where your food comes from is important. It helps foster a connection between you and your food, the environment and the community.
Our participants come from all perspectives and walks of life. Some are vegetarians or vegans exploring their relationship with meat, some want to deepen their relationship with the meat they already eat, and some just enjoy new experiences. Are you a backyard chicken keeper with an extra rooster or two? We can help with that.
Whatever your reasons, We are here to guide you through the entire process. We have extensive experience with chickens, rabbits, quail and other poultry. We have regularly scheduled classes here at the farm, and can also arrange one-on-one or private group classes.
Check our Facebook page for details on upcoming events or contact us by email or phone to schedule a private class.
